پتا ہے اس کا آخری جملہ کیا تھا؟

مجھ سے پوچھ کر کی تھی محبت

اتنا احسان میری جان گوارا کر لے

اب کنارے پہ لگا دے یا کنارہ کر لے

مکر گئے ہونا چاہتوں سے 

میری عادتیں خراب کر کے

جب دل میں چاہت نہ رہے تو 

باتیں خود بخود کڑوی لگنے لگتی ہیں

وہ میری آنکھ سے اوجھل ہوئی نا جب

سورج تھا میرے سر پہ، مگر رات ہو گئی

بہت دیکھے ہیں اس دنیا میں ہم نے بے وفا 

ہوگا نہ کوئی تیرے جیسا یہاں 

ہم نے تو کی تھی تم سے سچی وفا 

لیکن تم ہی جھوٹے نکلے یہاں 

کوئی نہ تھا دل میں اس کے سوا

پھر بھی توڑ کر دیکھا اس نے

 اس کے لہجے کے بدلنے کی کہانی کو سمجھ کر 

اب بھی اے دل اسے چاہو تو تمہاری مرضی
