میرے زوال سے پہلے ہی وہ مجھے چھوڑ گیا 

یارو وہ حسین تو تھا ہی پر ذہین کتنا تھا

ہر بار الزام ہم پر لگانا اچها نہیں

وفا خود سے نہیں ہوتى خفا ہم سے ہو جاتے ہو

‏میری قربتوں کا وہ عادی ہو گیا وگرنہ

محبت اسے آج بھی کسی اور سے ہے

یہ بات الگ ہے آج وہ اپنوں میں خوش ہے 

یہ بات بھی سچ ہے کبھی ہم بھی اس کے اپنے تھے

ساتھ نبھانے والے تو آگ پر چل کر ساتھ نبھاتے ہیں

تم لوگوں کی باتوں میں آ کر دو قدم کا ساتھ بھی نہ دیا

اس کی بے وفائی کے بعد بھی اسے چاہا 

یہ اعتراف بھی شامل ہے میرے گناہوں میں
